About the Peugeot e-208 GTi
The Peugeot e‑208 GTi (MY26) marks the return of the iconic GTi badge to Peugeot’s small hatchback range, reimagined as a high-performance electric hot hatch. Designed to combine everyday practicality with strong performance, it sits at the top of the e‑208 line-up and targets rivals such as the Alpine A290 and Abarth 600e.
Powered by a front-mounted electric motor producing 207 kW (281 hp) and 345 Nm of torque, the e‑208 GTi delivers impressive performance for a compact hatchback. It accelerates from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 5.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 112 mph (180 km/h). A mechanical limited-slip differential helps maximise traction and handling performance.
The vehicle uses a 50.8 kWh usable battery (54 kWh gross) and offers up to 233 miles (375 km) WLTP range, depending on specification and driving conditions. Peugeot quotes efficiency of up to 3.9 miles/kWh, helping balance performance with everyday usability.
Charging is supported at up to 100-107 kW DC, allowing a 20-80% recharge in around 27 minutes, while an 11 kW onboard AC charger is fitted as standard.
The GTi receives numerous performance-focused upgrades including sports suspension, larger brakes, dedicated GTi styling, sports seats, Alcantara trim and unique 18-inch alloy wheels. Despite its sporting character, it retains a practical 309-litre boot and seating for five occupants.
