About the Volkswagen ID. Polo 155 kW – 52 kWh

The Volkswagen ID. Polo 155 kW – 52 kWh is Volkswagen’s fully electric successor to the iconic Polo, bringing compact hatchback practicality into the EV era. Built on Volkswagen Group’s latest small EV platform, the ID. Polo is designed to offer an accessible entry point into electric motoring while maintaining the practicality and familiarity that have made the Polo one of Europe’s most popular small cars.

Powered by a front-mounted electric motor producing 155 kW (211 hp), the ID. Polo delivers lively performance for the compact hatchback segment. The front-wheel-drive powertrain accelerates from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in approximately 7.1 seconds and reaches a top speed of 99 mph (160 km/h).

The vehicle is equipped with a 52 kWh usable battery (55 kWh gross) and offers up to 282 miles (454 km) WLTP range, making it suitable for both urban commuting and longer journeys. Volkswagen has focused on efficiency, with official consumption figures around 11.5 kWh/100 km.

Charging performance includes support for up to 105 kW DC rapid charging, with a typical 10-80% recharge taking around 24 minutes. An 11 kW AC onboard charger is also included for convenient home and workplace charging.

Inside, the ID. Polo offers seating for five and a surprisingly spacious cabin thanks to its dedicated EV architecture. Practicality remains strong, with approximately 435 litres of boot space, expanding to over 1,200 litres when the rear seats are folded.

The ID. Polo competes with vehicles such as the Renault 5 E‑Tech, Alpine A290, CUPRA Raval and Alfa Romeo Junior, offering a blend of efficiency, practicality and Volkswagen familiarity.
