About the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV Maybach 680

The Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV Maybach 680 represents the pinnacle of Mercedes-Benz’s electric SUV range, combining the technology of the EQS SUV with the luxury, craftsmanship and rear-seat comfort expected from the Maybach brand. It is designed as an ultra-luxury four-seat chauffeur-focused electric SUV.

Power comes from a dual-motor 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system producing 658 hp (484 kW) and 950 Nm of torque. Despite weighing nearly three tonnes, the Maybach EQS SUV accelerates from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in just 4.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 130 mph (210 km/h).

The vehicle uses a massive 118 kWh usable battery (125 kWh gross) and offers a WLTP driving range of up to 380 miles (612 km). Real-world mixed driving range is approximately 304 miles (490 km), making it one of the longest-range luxury SUVs available.

Charging capability is equally impressive. The Maybach EQS SUV supports 22 kW AC charging and 200 kW DC rapid charging, allowing the battery to charge from 10-80% in approximately 33 minutes under favourable conditions. Battery preconditioning and Plug & Charge functionality are included.

Inside, the Maybach focuses heavily on rear-seat luxury, featuring executive rear seats, massage functions, premium leather upholstery, refrigerated compartments, folding tables, Burmester 4D surround sound and extensive customization options.

Practicality remains respectable with a 440-litre luggage compartment, although rear-seat comfort takes priority over maximum cargo capacity.

The Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV Maybach 680 is one of the most luxurious electric vehicles on sale, competing with flagship ultra-premium SUVs such as the Rolls-Royce Spectre, Range Rover Electric, Cadillac Escalade IQ and upcoming luxury Bentley EVs. Its combination of long range, exceptional refinement and first-class rear-seat comfort makes it a standout choice in the ultra-luxury EV segment.
