About the Suzuki e Vitara 61 kWh AWD
The Suzuki e Vitara 61 kWh AWD is Suzuki’s first global battery-electric SUV, bringing the well-known Vitara name into the electric era. Developed specifically for international markets, the e Vitara combines compact SUV practicality, genuine all-wheel-drive capability and modern EV technology. It is designed to offer a versatile alternative to electric crossovers such as the Hyundai Kona Electric, Kia EV3 and Toyota C‑HR+.
The 61 kWh AWD version features Suzuki’s dual-motor electric powertrain, providing all-wheel-drive traction and enhanced performance in poor weather and on challenging road surfaces. Combined system output is approximately 184 hp (135 kW), delivering responsive acceleration while maintaining strong efficiency and everyday usability.
Energy comes from a 61 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, chosen for its durability, safety and longevity. Depending on specification and driving conditions, the e Vitara AWD offers a WLTP driving range of approximately 250 miles (400 km), making it suitable for both daily commuting and longer family journeys.
The all-wheel-drive system is designed to provide confident handling and improved traction rather than outright performance. This makes the e Vitara especially appealing to drivers who regularly encounter adverse weather conditions or require additional confidence on rural roads.
Inside, the cabin introduces a more modern and connected experience than previous Suzuki models. A digital instrument display, large central touchscreen and advanced driver assistance technologies create a contemporary driving environment, while the upright SUV design provides excellent visibility and practicality.
As expected from a Vitara, practicality remains a key strength. The five-seat layout, flexible luggage compartment and compact exterior dimensions make it well suited to urban use while also retaining the versatility expected of a family SUV.
