About the Kia EV3 Standard Range

The Kia EV3 Standard Range is Kia’s compact electric SUV designed to bring the brand’s latest EV technology to a more affordable price point. Inspired by the larger EV9, the EV3 combines bold styling, advanced technology and impressive efficiency in a practical family-friendly package. As the entry point to the EV3 range, the Standard Range model delivers strong everyday usability while maintaining the premium design and technology found across the lineup.

Powered by a single front-mounted electric motor producing 204 hp (150 kW) and 283 Nm of torque, the EV3 Standard Range delivers smooth, responsive performance. The front-wheel-drive powertrain enables acceleration from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 7.5 seconds, while top speed reaches 106 mph (170 km/h).

The vehicle is equipped with a 55 kWh usable battery (58.3 kWh gross) and offers up to 271 miles (436 km) WLTP range, making it one of the most efficient compact electric SUVs available. Its efficiency-focused setup makes it particularly well suited to urban commuting and daily family use.

Charging is supported at up to 102 kW DC rapid charging, enabling a 10-80% charge in approximately 29 minutes under ideal conditions. An 11 kW AC onboard charger is also available for home and workplace charging. The EV3 additionally supports Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality, enhancing its practicality.

Inside, the EV3 features a modern, technology-focused interior with Kia’s latest digital cockpit layout, dual panoramic displays and extensive connectivity features. Despite its compact exterior dimensions, it offers generous cabin space and a practical 460-litre boot, expanding to over 1,250 litres with the rear seats folded.

Built on Hyundai Motor Group’s E-GMP platform, the EV3 Standard Range combines efficiency, practicality and value, making it a strong rival to competitors such as the Škoda Elroq, Volvo EX30 and Hyundai Kona Electric.
