Renault Scenic E-Tech EV87 220hp

The Renault Scenic E‑Tech EV87 220hp (TU2025) is Renault’s long-range electric family SUV, built on the dedicated AmpR Medium platform. The TU2025 update enhances value and technology while maintaining the Scenic’s focus on practicality, efficiency and family-friendly usability.

Powered by a front-mounted electric motor producing 220 hp (160 kW) and 300 Nm of torque, the Scenic E‑Tech delivers smooth and refined performance. Power is sent to the front wheels, enabling the vehicle to accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 7.9 seconds and reach a top speed of approximately 106 mph (170 km/h).

The Scenic EV87 is equipped with a substantial 87 kWh usable battery (92 kWh gross), providing excellent long-distance capability. Real-world range is estimated at around 480 km (298 miles), while official WLTP figures extend significantly further depending on specification and driving conditions.

Charging flexibility is a major strength. The vehicle supports up to 150 kW DC rapid charging and an impressive 22 kW AC onboard charger, allowing significantly faster AC charging than many competitors. A typical 10-80% DC recharge takes around 40 minutes, while home or destination charging can be completed in under five hours on suitable 22 kW infrastructure.

Practicality is excellent, with a spacious five-seat cabin and 545 litres of boot space, expanding to over 1,400 litres when the rear seats are folded. The Scenic also offers towing capability up to 1,100 kg braked.

The TU2025 version includes advanced energy-management features such as battery preconditioning, Plug & Charge, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability and support for Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) and Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) functionality.
