About the Leapmotor T03 Electric
The Leapmotor T03 Electric is a compact city-focused electric hatchback designed to offer affordable EV ownership without sacrificing modern technology. As one of the most budget-friendly electric cars available in Europe, the T03 focuses on efficiency, manoeuvrability and value, making it particularly well suited to urban commuting and first-time EV buyers.
Powered by a single front-mounted electric motor producing 95 hp (70 kW) and 158 Nm of torque, the T03 delivers smooth city performance and low running costs. The front-wheel-drive powertrain accelerates from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 12.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 81 mph (130 km/h).
The vehicle is equipped with a 36 kWh usable battery (37.3 kWh gross) and offers up to 165 miles (265 km) WLTP range. Its efficient energy consumption helps maximise range despite the compact battery size, making it ideal for everyday urban and suburban journeys.
Charging is supported via AC and DC connections, with up to 48 kW DC rapid charging available. While charging speeds are modest compared with larger EVs, the relatively small battery means charging sessions remain practical for daily use.
The T03 features a compact five-door body, seating for four occupants and a practical interior layout. Despite its small footprint, the long wheelbase helps create a surprisingly spacious cabin, while the boot provides 210 litres of luggage capacity, expanding to 880 litres with the rear seats folded.
With its low purchase price, compact dimensions and strong efficiency, the T03 competes with vehicles such as the Dacia Spring, Fiat 500e and Citroën ë-C3. It is designed primarily as an economical urban EV rather than a long-distance touring vehicle.
