About the Bentley Torcal S

The Bentley Torcal S marks a dramatic new chapter for Bentley, combining the craftsmanship and effortless performance traditionally associated with the Crewe marque with a fully electric drivetrain. Sitting at the top of Bentley’s first production EV range, the Torcal S is a luxury electric SUV with a distinctly performance-focused character. Bentley describes it as its most powerful production model to date.

A twin-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain produces 653 kW (888 PS / 876 bhp) and an immense 1,350 Nm of torque when Launch Control is active. That gives the Torcal S extraordinary performance, with 0-60 mph taking just 2.9 seconds, 0-100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and a maximum speed of 162 mph (260 km/h).

Energy comes from a 113.3 kWh battery with 108.7 kWh usable capacity, according to published specifications. Bentley quotes up to 373 miles (600 km) of WLTP range, giving the Torcal S genuine long-distance grand-touring capability alongside its formidable performance.

Charging is equally impressive. Bentley specifies 400 kW DC rapid charging, with a 10-80% charge taking around 16 minutes under suitable conditions. The company also says approximately 100 miles of additional range can be recovered in seven minutes.

Performance goes beyond straight-line speed. The Torcal S features Bentley Active Ride, combining active suspension and roll control to improve both ride comfort and body control. All-wheel steering is also fitted, helping make the large SUV easier to manoeuvre while contributing to its handling at higher speeds.

Inside, the Torcal S combines traditional Bentley craftsmanship with a much more technology-led environment. Bentley highlights curved displays alongside materials including leather, wool, veneer, aluminium and Dinamica, maintaining the handcrafted character of its combustion-engined grand tourers while introducing a new design direction for its electric era.
