Volkswagen ID. Polo GTI

The Volkswagen ID. Polo GTI is an upcoming performance-focused electric supermini that is expected to bring the famous GTI badge into Volkswagen’s smallest electric models. Positioned below the ID.2 GTI, the ID. Polo GTI is intended to combine compact dimensions, everyday practicality and engaging hot-hatch performance in an affordable electric package.

Built on Volkswagen Group’s front-wheel-drive electric architecture, the ID. Polo GTI is expected to retain the characteristics that have defined GTI models for decades: responsive handling, strong acceleration, distinctive styling and everyday usability. As with other modern GTI models, engineers are expected to focus on chassis tuning, steering feel and driver involvement rather than outright power alone.

While Volkswagen has confirmed plans for smaller GTI-badged electric vehicles, detailed technical specifications for the production ID. Polo GTI (MY27) have not yet been officially published in publicly available sources. As a result, key figures such as battery capacity, power output, charging speeds, range and performance remain unconfirmed.
