About the Škoda Epiq 55
The Škoda Epiq 55 is a compact electric SUV designed to bring affordable EV ownership to the heart of the family car market. Sitting below the Škoda Elroq, the Epiq combines smart packaging, generous practicality and efficient electric performance in a compact crossover footprint.
Powered by a front-mounted electric motor producing 211 hp (155 kW) and 290 Nm of torque, the Epiq 55 delivers brisk everyday performance. The front-wheel-drive powertrain accelerates from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in around 7.1-7.4 seconds, while top speed is electronically limited to 99 mph (160 km/h).
The vehicle is equipped with a 51.7 kWh usable battery (55 kWh gross) and offers up to 267 miles (430 km) WLTP range, making it well suited to commuting, family use and regional travel. The efficient powertrain achieves energy consumption as low as 12.0 kWh/100 km under WLTP testing.
Charging is supported via an 11 kW AC onboard charger and up to 105 kW DC rapid charging. A typical 10-80% rapid charge takes approximately 24 minutes, helping minimise charging stops on longer journeys.
Practicality is a major strength. Despite its compact dimensions, the Epiq offers a 475-litre boot, expanding to 1,344 litres with the rear seats folded. The five-seat cabin is designed to maximise usable space while retaining Škoda’s reputation for family-friendly functionality.
The Epiq competes directly with vehicles such as the Kia EV3, Renault 5 E‑Tech, Volkswagen ID. Polo and Hyundai IONIQ 3, offering a compelling mixture of value, practicality and modern EV technology.
