Powered by a single front-mounted electric motor producing 213 hp (157 kW) and 343 Nm of torque, the DS 4 E‑Tense delivers smooth and responsive performance. The front-wheel-drive powertrain enables acceleration from 0-62 mph in 7.1 seconds, while the focus remains on comfort, refinement and efficiency rather than outright sportiness. Top speed is electronically limited to 99 mph (160 km/h).

The vehicle is equipped with a 58.3 kWh usable battery (approximately 61 kWh gross) and offers up to 280 miles (450 km) WLTP range. The efficient electric drivetrain helps maximise real-world range, while 120 kW DC rapid charging enables convenient recharging during longer journeys. An 11 kW AC onboard charger is fitted as standard for home and workplace charging.
