About the Dacia Spring Electric 70
The Dacia Spring Electric 70 is one of the most affordable electric cars on the European market, designed to provide simple, efficient and cost-effective electric mobility. Compact dimensions, low running costs and straightforward technology make it particularly attractive to city drivers, first-time EV buyers and those looking for an economical second car. Its crossover-inspired styling gives it a more rugged appearance than a traditional city car while maintaining excellent manoeuvrability.
Powered by a single front-mounted electric motor producing 65 hp (48 kW) and 113 Nm of torque, the Spring Electric 70 prioritises efficiency over outright performance. The lightweight construction helps maximise range and keeps energy consumption exceptionally low. The vehicle accelerates from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 13.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 125 km/h (78 mph).
The Spring Electric 70 is equipped with a 26.8 kWh battery pack (approximately 25 kWh usable) and offers up to 220 km (137 miles) WLTP range. Its low energy consumption of around 11.4 kWh/100 km makes it one of the most efficient EVs currently available. DC rapid charging of up to 30 kW is supported, while AC charging up to 7 kW provides convenient overnight charging.
Inside, the Spring focuses on practicality and simplicity. Seating is provided for four occupants, while the compact footprint makes parking and urban driving exceptionally easy. Despite its small size, the luggage compartment offers a useful 290 litres of cargo space, expanding to over 1,100 litres when the rear seats are folded.
While not designed as a long-distance cruiser, the Dacia Spring excels in urban environments where low operating costs, ease of driving and efficient energy use are the priorities. Its affordability and simplicity make it one of the most accessible ways to move into electric vehicle ownership.
