KGM Torres EVX

The KGM Torres EVX is a spacious all-electric SUV from KG Mobility (KGM), the company formerly known as SsangYong. Combining rugged SUV styling with practical family-friendly packaging, the Torres EVX focuses on value, comfort and real-world usability while offering a substantial driving range and generous interior space.

Powered by a single front-mounted electric motor producing 207 hp (152.2 kW) and 339 Nm of torque, the Torres EVX delivers smooth and responsive performance. The front-wheel-drive powertrain accelerates from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 8.1 seconds and reaches a top speed of 109 mph (175 km/h).

The vehicle is equipped with a 73.4 kWh usable battery and offers up to 287 miles (462 km) WLTP range. The battery uses LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) technology supplied by BYD, designed to provide enhanced durability, safety and long-term reliability.

Charging capability includes support for up to 120 kW DC rapid charging, allowing convenient charging on longer journeys, while AC charging supports regular home and workplace use. KGM also highlights the battery’s durability with a 10-year / 1,000,000 km battery warranty in the UK market.

One of the Torres EVX’s standout strengths is practicality. The SUV offers a huge 839-litre boot, expanding to 1,662 litres with the rear seats folded. Combined with seating for five and a spacious cabin, it provides significantly more cargo capacity than many similarly priced electric SUVs.

The Torres EVX is also capable of towing up to 1.5 tonnes, while features such as regenerative braking control, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality and a robust SUV design give it genuine versatility for family and leisure use.
