About the Audi Q4 e‑tron 40

The Audi Q4 e‑tron 40 is a premium all-electric SUV that combines Audi’s distinctive design, high-quality interior and advanced EV technology. Built on the Volkswagen Group’s dedicated MEB electric platform, the Q4 e‑tron 40 delivers an excellent balance of practicality, efficiency and comfort, making it one of the most popular premium family EVs on the market.

Powered by a single rear-mounted electric motor producing 204 hp (150 kW) and 310 Nm of torque, the Q4 e‑tron 40 offers smooth rear-wheel-drive performance and refined handling. Acceleration from 0-62 mph takes 8.5 seconds, while top speed is electronically limited to 99 mph (160 km/h), focusing on efficiency and comfort rather than outright performance.

The model is equipped with an 82 kWh battery pack with 76.6 kWh usable capacity, providing up to 325 miles (523 km) WLTP range depending on specification and wheel choice. This impressive range makes the Q4 e‑tron 40 well suited to long-distance travel as well as everyday family use.

Charging capability includes support for up to 125 kW DC rapid charging, allowing efficient recharging during longer journeys, while AC charging supports convenient home and workplace charging. Later versions have benefitted from improved charging performance and software enhancements.

Inside, the Q4 e‑tron features Audi’s premium cabin design, including a digital cockpit, large central touchscreen and high-quality materials throughout. Passenger space is generous thanks to the dedicated EV platform, while the luggage compartment offers 520 litres of storage, expanding to 1,490 litres with the rear seats folded.

The Audi Q4 e‑tron 40 is designed for drivers seeking a premium electric SUV with strong range, excellent refinement and practical family-friendly characteristics. It competes directly with models such as the Tesla Model Y, BMW iX1 and Mercedes-Benz EQA while offering Audi’s recognisable blend of quality and technology.
