About the Nissan Micra EV Extended Range 52 kWh

The Nissan Micra EV Extended Range 52 kWh (MY25-26) marks the return of the Micra as a fully electric supermini. Developed alongside the Renault 5 E‑Tech and built on the AmpR Small platform, the new Micra combines compact dimensions, efficient electric driving and modern technology, making it an attractive option for urban and suburban drivers.

Power comes from a front-mounted electric motor producing 150 hp (110 kW) and 245 Nm of torque, driving the front wheels through a single-speed transmission. Performance is brisk for a compact hatchback, with 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in around 8.0 seconds and a top speed of 93 mph (150 km/h).

The Extended Range version features a 52.0 kWh usable battery (55.0 kWh gross) and delivers up to 260 miles (418 km) WLTP range. Real-world mixed driving range is estimated at around 210 miles (338 km), making it suitable for both daily commuting and occasional longer journeys.

Charging is supported at up to 101 kW DC rapid charging, enabling a 10-80% recharge in approximately 30-31 minutes. Home and workplace charging are handled by an 11 kW AC onboard charger, capable of fully recharging the battery in under six hours on a three-phase supply.

Despite its compact footprint, the Micra offers good practicality with a 326-litre boot, expanding to over 1,100 litres with the rear seats folded. The cabin features twin digital displays, Google-based connectivity and over-the-air software updates.

Advanced features include battery preconditioning, heat pump technology and available ProPILOT driver assistance systems, helping improve efficiency, comfort and safety.

The Nissan Micra EV Extended Range 52 kWh (MY25-26) combines the familiarity of the Micra name with modern EV technology, offering strong efficiency, practical range and affordable electric motoring in a compact package.
