About the Volkswagen ID.4 Pro
The Volkswagen ID.4 Pro (MY27) is the long-range rear-wheel-drive version of Volkswagen’s popular electric family SUV. Built on the Volkswagen Group’s dedicated MEB platform, the ID.4 Pro combines strong efficiency, comfortable ride quality and everyday practicality, making it a compelling alternative to the Tesla Model Y and Škoda Enyaq.
Powered by a rear-mounted electric motor producing 286 hp (210 kW) and 545 Nm of torque, the ID.4 Pro delivers smooth and responsive performance. The rear-wheel-drive layout contributes to balanced handling, while acceleration from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) takes 6.7 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 112 mph (180 km/h).
The ID.4 Pro is equipped with a 79 kWh usable battery (84 kWh gross) and offers up to 329 miles (529 km) WLTP range, making it well suited to long-distance family travel. Real-world mixed driving range is typically around 285 miles (460 km) depending on weather and driving style.
Charging performance has been improved for the MY27 model. The vehicle supports up to 165 kW DC rapid charging, allowing a 10-80% recharge in around 30 minutes. Home and workplace charging is supported via an 11 kW AC onboard charger, while battery preconditioning and Plug & Charge compatibility improve charging convenience.
Practicality remains a major strength. The ID.4 Pro provides seating for five adults and a spacious 533-litre boot, expanding to 1,565 litres with the rear seats folded. Braked towing capacity is rated at 1,000 kg.
The MY27 model also gains Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, allowing external electrical devices to be powered directly from the vehicle’s battery pack.
