About the MG MGS6 EV RWD 77 kWh
The MG MGS6 EV RWD 77 kWh is a mid-size electric SUV that builds upon MG’s successful EV line-up, offering impressive range, generous practicality and competitive pricing. Positioned above the MG4 and alongside the MG IM6, the MGS6 EV is designed to compete directly with vehicles such as the Tesla Model Y, Škoda Enyaq and Volkswagen ID.4.
Powered by a rear-mounted electric motor producing 245 hp (180 kW) and 350 Nm of torque, the MGS6 EV delivers smooth rear-wheel-drive performance and balanced handling characteristics. The vehicle accelerates from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 7.3 seconds and reaches a top speed of 124 mph (200 km/h).
The MGS6 EV is equipped with a 74.3 kWh usable battery (77 kWh gross) and offers up to 329 miles (530 km) WLTP range. Real-world mixed driving range is estimated at around 250 miles (405 km), making it a capable option for both everyday commuting and longer journeys.
Charging is supported at up to 144 kW DC rapid charging, allowing a 10-80% charge in approximately 36-38 minutes. Home and workplace charging are supported via an 11 kW AC onboard charger, while battery preconditioning helps optimise charging performance.
Practicality is a major strength. The MGS6 EV offers a substantial 674-litre boot, expanding to 1,910 litres with the rear seats folded. Rear-wheel-drive variants also benefit from a 124-litre front boot (frunk), providing extra storage for charging cables and everyday items.
The vehicle includes Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, enabling users to power electrical devices directly from the vehicle’s battery, making it suitable for outdoor activities, work sites and emergency backup power.
